The Nashville Old-Time String Band Association,
Inc., is a Tennessee-chartered and IRS-recognized 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting,
and performing old-time string band music.
We support this effort through countless hours
of volunteer time, through this Website, through our newsletter,
through public performances, through workshops, and through
our annual Breakin' Up Winter old-time music retreat.
We try to keep all of our events priced to cover
our costs, but we also need help to cover the fees for filing
reports with the State of Tennessee and the IRS.
To ensure that all of these programs keep going
without interruption, we have instituted a membership program
that allows those who have benefitted from NOTSBA's programs
and who benefit from old-time music in general to help us
keep the lights on and help preserve and promote the wonderful
music we all love.
Memberships now expire annually on January
31st. If your membership would have expired in the
remaining months before then, it is being by one year until
January 31st, 2011. If you have any questions about your
